Painted in acrylic but achieving the clarity and sheen of oils that accentuates the sumptuous detail in the leaves and the depths of the shadows.
I was inspired by a photograph of this scene - I just couldn't believe how many shades of green were present in the foliage and loved the balance between the shadows and the sunlight seeping through the canopy of trees above. The greens are so calming and there is the freshness of new growth, new beginnings.
